Our latex balloons are made of natural rubber latex tapped directly from rubber trees. Other than a pigment for color, very little else is added to them and they will biodegrade in about 2 years – about the same rate as a dead oak leaf.

Foil / mylar balloons are not biodegradable but can be recycled.

Husband and Wife team travelled to Chicago in very cold and snowy January to attend a National convention with over 700 balloon professionals from around the globe. This 5-day event had workshops and classes taught by International designers. We also had the opportunity to meet many of our balloon suppliers.

Attending these conventions and workshops every so often helps us to stay abreast of the latest innovations in balloon design, which, in turn, helps us to ensure that our customers' events are truly unique and memorable.

Our customers can be assured that we will always strive to remain at the forefront of technology in the balloon design industry.

Debbie Medrano is the Founder and Chief Mover. She will celebrate their 10th Anniversary at an event at the Chamber of Commerce office on 1/31/19.

Debbie worked part time in this business until 2017, while also working as a Farmers Insurance Agent and volunteering as President/Founder of Vista Teen Outreach, where they provided needed food weekly for 690 students in 16 schools, including 235 meals for-families during the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons. In 2017, they were awarded the "Have a Heart Award" from the Boys and Girls Club of Vista for their support in feeding kids.

Since 2017 the "San Diego Balloons and More" business has exploded, due to focusing full time on recognizing the demand for visual celebration and exceeding customer expectations. Debbie has trained with International Balloon Decorators for the past 2 years at a week long Balloon retreat, which keeps her in the loop of new designs to bring to her clients and teaching great business skills

San Diego Balloons and More’s philosophy is based on the belief that their customers' needs are of the utmost importance. Their entire team is committed to meeting those needs, exceeding their expectations, and gaining their recommendations.

They have been a family-owned and operated business since 2008 in Oceanside and Vista. Debbie's husband Angel and sons Mitchell and Blake provide much of the direct client support, but "as needed staff" is trained to assist family operations and represent the family with professionalism and world class customer support. Debbie's parents have owned Balloons N More in Alta Loma since 1985, and she worked along side of them until she opened her own balloon business. When their two sons grew out of sports on the weekend, they decided it was good time to start the business in North County. They take pride in their work and love their customers. The majority of their business comes from referrals and repeat clients.

"Balloons are about bringing emotion and fun to celebrations", stated Debbie during the ten year celebration at the Chamber of Commerce. "The service we provide makes work fun, makes celebrations special and creates recognition for accomplishments. They create lasting memories. Balloons also help with branding, employee attendance and customer retention".

Along with Balloon Decorating, Debbie has been an Event Planner for the Vista Rod Run since 2014 and the Taste of Vista since 2015.

I have known the Medrano family for over eighteen years, from their Cub Scout leadership, Boy Scout involvment, which included both sons earning their Eagle Scout rank, ongoing to the present. They attend a local church and provide ongoing support to the local community.

Debbie just announced their expansion into balloon delivery to allow celebrants to manage their own balloon celebrations. This expansion is a result of requests from many clients to provide more flexibility in pricing and set up designs.

I am a Chamber Member and former Vice President of the Vista Education Foundation. I am a twenty-five year resident of Vista.

All of us at San Diego Balloons and More had a great time at the 2018 Vista Holiday Parade. We worked hard to make a great contribution to the parade and were lucky enough to be awarded the 3rd Place Trophy.

The Vista Holiday Parade has been a wonderful tradition in San Diego North County for the last 61 years. We are proud to be a part of it and can't wait until next year!!

Debbie Medrano, owner of San Diego Balloons and More, is a local balloon decorator, successful event designer and entrepreneur who represented San Diego at the recent balloon “Promotions and Profits Workshop” held in Orlando, Florida.

The four day event attracted a team of thirty professionals from around the country eager to experience hands on training from a lineup of five award winning balloon décor artists. Together they used 20,000 latex balloons in creating the Party People Events “Sea Life Float” that ran in the Orlando Pride Parade.

Debbie Medrano is recognized for bringing to life unique displays of artistry that are the center of attention at any event. She is able to elevate the spirit and interest of a crowd with her creative and inspiring balloon designs.
